In the year 2006, Indigo, today's one of the fastest growing low cost carriers in the world and one of the largest profitable airline in India was established by Rahul Bhatia & Rakesh Gangwal. Airbus A320 has been adopted as the sole aircraft type that they usually purchase in bulk from the Airbus company. This saves a great deal of time while the training of the Airlines crew. The Headquarters are located at Gurugram, Haryana. The company was founded as a private company, but went public in 2015. The airline operates to 46 destinations (and growing). It has its primary hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. They have a 42.6% market share in terms of passengers carried according to last year's data.
